Enjoying the little things in life

Each year, the clients and staff from Gaudenzia’s Integrity House in York, PA, do an amazing job carving pumpkins. Although pumpkin carving is not an official therapeutic modality, this activity illustrates how Gaudenzia’s staff consistently goes above and beyond in treating the whole person. When carving a pumpkin, teamwork, creativity, forward-thinking, and problem solving are all necessary skills and help create opportunities to enjoy the smaller things in life, which often turn into the motivation to find success in the program and achieve larger things in life.
